Important If enabling the Office 365 proxy bypass setting described in this article, ensure you have appropriate firewall rules in place. With this setting enabled, traffic to Microsoft Office 365 services will be routed directly, and will not be subject to inspection by the cloud service. Note: If Office 365 is bypassed, it will prevent you from performing Office 365 tenant restriction using custom headers inserted by the cloud proxy. See Restrict users to specific Office 365 Tenants for more details.

Problem Description

How do I configure Web Security Cloud to work with Microsoft Office 365?


Microsoft Office 365 bypasses can be applied to Web Security Cloud by selecting the Office 365 bypass checkbox options in the cloud Security Portal.
  1. Log on to the Security Portal.
  2. Go to Web > Settings > Bypass Settings.

  1. Select Authentication Bypass or Proxy Bypass settings, as appropriate.
  • The Office 365 setting on the Authentication Bypass tab will bypass proxy authentication for Microsoft Office 365 services.
  • The Office 365 setting on the Proxy Bypass tab will bypass the cloud service entirely, for Microsoft Office 365 services (recommended).

  1. Select Office 365, and click Save.
Note If you selected the option on the Proxy Bypass tab, selecting the box on the Authentication Bypass tab will have no additional effect.
