Problem Description

When trying to perform an upgrade or fresh installation of the TRITON Infrastructure version 8.2.0, the following error may display during set up of PostgresSQL segment of the installation which will then cause the installation to fail and rollback.

"Cannot connect to TRITON Settings database."

Resolution

This is due to the region settings of the server and the impact on the date and time format.
To resolve, prior to running the TRITON820Setup.exe:
  1. Go to Control Panel > Region and Language.
  2. Under the Formats tab, select Format: English (United States).
  3. Click OK and proceed to run the TRITON820Setup.exe again. Following the region changes, the install should now succeed.

Once the installation has finished, you can then revert the Region settings back.
