Problem Description
The block page log does not appear when using a V Series appliance. I followed the details in the Appliance Manager Help document, but the custom logo still does not appear. Important: This information is available to administrators with existing Web design skills. Always back up the block page directory before modifying file content. Forcepoint Technical Support is unable to provide support for customizing block pages. |
Resolution
The information in this article supplements the version 8.2 document Creating Custom Block Pages, which applies to versions 7.5 to 8.2 using Appliance Manager. 8.3 to 8.5 use Curl commands to insert the files for custom block pages which are detailed in their respective deployment documentation:
The default path for the Forcepoint logo is referenced in a custom block page file called master.html. You will need to modify the logo path to look inside of the Custom directory; where you will save your custom logo. For versions 7.5 to 8.2:
For example, <div><img title="Websense" src="/Images/wslogo_block_page.png">
For example, <div><img title="Websense" src="/en/Custom/hdr.gif
Note There have been cases seen where the custom path was src="/Custom_tmp/hdr.gif" instead of src="Custom/hdr.gif".
Important: Links are case sensitive; they must match the name exactly. The word Custom makes the browser check the directory the image was uploaded to, rather than the Images folder.
