Pre-requisite drivers/utility should be installed on Forcepoint Email Security Log Server installed Server.

Problem Description

By default with Email Security Log Server installation BCP mode connector can't be enabled, for which pre-requisite drivers/utility should be available.


Usually, if you have not installed required drivers/utilities so you won't be able to move the Email Log Server Database Insertion method from ODBC to BCP Mode.

                  Database Insertion Mode-1

Log Server installed system should have below given 2 drivers/utilities should be installed.
  • Microsoft ODBC Driver 11 for SQL Server or above version
  1. Launch the Windows Data Source Administration Tool & Search on your Windows machine for the launcher for the ODBC Data Source Administration Tool:

  1. Navigate to the Drivers tab in the setup window and verify that the driver (ODBC Driver 17 for SQL Server) appears:
  • Microsoft Command Line Utilities 11 for SQL Server
    1. Open System Control Panel > Programs and Features


If the above files are not installed on your system so you can download and install it with the below-given link:
  • Download Microsoft ODBC Driver 11 for SQL Server from here.
  • Download Microsoft Command Line Utilities 11 for SQL Server from here.

After successfully installing the above-mentioned driver/utilities you will be able to change Log Server with BCP mode.

  1. Relaunch the Email Security Log Server installation tool.
  2. Select BCP FIle path location as: %InstallationFolder%\Email Security\ESG Log Server\bin\Cache\BCP (if BCP folder doesn't present then manually create it)
  3. Restart Log Server service from Connection tab and BCP Log Insertion mode will be started.
