Problem Description

How do I configure and install Forcepoint Next Generation Firewall (NGFW) 51 appliances in an SD-WAN environment?

Resolution

Note: These documents do not describe how to configure and use the SD-WAN features in Forcepoint NGFW. For information about the SD-WAN features in Forcepoint NGFW, see the Forcepoint Next Generation Firewall Product Guide.

When you deploy Forcepoint NGFW 51 appliances in an SD-WAN environment, pre-configured NGFW appliances are delivered to a remote site for installation using plug-and-play or automatic configuration.

You can deploy a single Forcepoint NGFW 51 appliance or a cluster of Forcepoint NGFW 51 appliances in an SD-WAN environment.

The deployment consists of tasks to be completed by two people:

  • The SMC administrator configures settings for NGFW Engines in the SMC.
  • The on-site installer installs the NGFW 51 appliances at the remote site where they are used.

See one of the following documents depending on how many NGFW 51 appliances you are deploying and your role in the deployment:
