Problem Description

Forcepoint is aware of the vulnerabilities.


The following Microsoft Windows updates have been validated with Forcepoint Web Security Solutions installations, and no incompatibilities between Web Security components have been found.

  • Microsoft Windows 2008 R2 SP1 update KB4056897
  • Microsoft Windows 10 update KB4056892
  • Microsoft Windows 2012 R2 update  KB4056898
  • Microsoft Windows 2016 update KB4056890

There is currently no update for Microsoft Windows 2012. Please refer to Microsoft for guidance on updates to this OS.

While Forcepoint is unaware of any abnormal performance impact, customers are advised to follow Microsoft guidelines on performance implications for SQL Server and the Windows operating system.

Testing of Linux and CentOS updates is currently on hold while we wait for Red Hat to deliver stable assets. Initial testing on the kernel available from the following link has been done on software only deployments and a performance degradation of 5-15% was found.
