Problem Description
The Forcepoint Security Appliance Manager (FSAM) has to be uninstalled and reinstalled during upgrade. |

Preparing the ApplianceImportantAppliances with v8.3 require multiple hotfixes to be applied, regardless of FSAM version. After the appliance hotfixes are applied, proceed to Installing the FSAM. There are two methods for installing the FSAM hotfixes for appliances: A. Command Line
B. Filestore
Method 1 - Command Line:
For Appliances on v8.3:
Note Hotfixes must be installed in the below order. If you encounter any issues, refer to the Appliance CLI Guide.
For Appliances on v8.4:
APP-8.4.0-002 Note Only install this hotfix if installing or upgrading to FSAM version 1.2.1 or 2.0.0.
For Appliances on v8.5: No additional hotfixes are necessary. Method 2 - Filestore:
For Appliances on v8.3:
For Appliances on v8.4:
APP-8.4.0-002 Note Only install this hotfix if installing or upgrading to FSAM version 1.2.1 or 2.0.0. For Appliances on v8.5: No additional hotfixes are necessary.
Installing the FSAMDownload and run the FSAM setup on the Triton Management server. This file is found on the Downloads page in the Forcepoint Appliances section, listed under Forcepoint Security Appliance Manager. You may need to select All Downloads at the top for the section to be visible.Run the setup file. It will ask to restart Websense - TRITON Web Security service. The impact of restarting this service: Users currently logged into the Forcepoint Security Manager user interface may lose what they are working on at that time. Please ensure everyone has logged out of the user interface. Important FSAM 2.0.0 will only work if the Forcepoint Security Manager itself is running version 8.5. Running the FSAM:After installing the FSAM, use the following URL for access - https://<Triton Manger IPv4 Address>:9443/cm/Upgrading the FSAM:Download the new version's setup file from the Downloads page.
